The Future of Storytelling: AI as a Co-Writer

I use AI to generate character portraits, to brainstorm plot twists, and to write descriptions of places I've never been. It doesn't write the book for me—the prose it generates is often too generic. But it is an incredible research assistant and sounding board.

If I am stuck on a scene, I can ask the AI to give me five different ways it could go. Four will be terrible, but the fifth might spark an idea I hadn't considered. It keeps me moving.

The future of storytelling is collaborative. The author will still guide the heart of the story, but AI will help build the world around it.
